This L204 Flash Pleco from the Panaqolus genus is a great addition to average-sized aquariums. It loves plenty of bogwood with lots of hidden areas for retreat. Keep lighting low and avoid soft-leaved plants – they might be uprooted or eaten. Maintain great water conditions with a powerful filter and good oxygen levels. For multiple specimens, create more visual barriers and plenty of caves. They are peaceful but can be territorial with other males. Feed them wood as well as vegetables, algae wafers, and sinking catfish pellets. Breeding can be done in the home aquarium – dad guards a clutch of 50 eggs until they hatch in 6-7 days.
