The Scopas Tang, or Brown Scopas Tang, features yellow dorsal markings gradually darkening from front to back. These are complemented by intricately patterned light blue markings along its body, with a solid, brown tail. Juveniles boast larger fins and a slightly purplish hue. Housing this beauty requires at least a 125 gallon tank to offer plenty of room to swim. It may become aggressive with other Tangs, and should be kept alone for the best results. Feeding them a diet of marine-based seaweed and algae will strengthen their immune system, reduce aggression, and improve their overall health. Sea Veggies, Seaweed Salad, and Ocean Nutrition are great options — just make sure to feed them 3 times a week using a veggie clip or tied to a rock.
