The Duplicareus Corydoras is a uncommonly seen aquarium fish. It is often misidentified with its similar looking counterpart, the Aldofo’s Corydoras which has a thinner black band running from the base of the dorsal fin to the caudal fin as compared to the Duplicareus. In the wild, the Duplicareus Corydoras forms shoals and are active scavengers. In the aquarium, they are peaceful and are ideal in community tanks, often scavenging for uneaten or leftover food chunks.
