The Red Scooter Blenny is also known as the Starry Dragonet or Stellate Dragonet. Its body is a gorgeous blend of red and white – complete with large dark spots. The males feature more vibrant colors and an enlarged dorsal fin. To ensure the best environment for your Red Scooter Blenny, you’ll need a 30 gallon or larger reef tank with plenty of live rock. A live sand substrate will also be beneficial, and its tank-mates should be relatively docile. Multiple Red Scooter Blennies may be housed in the same tank, with a ratio of 2-3 females per male. A 55 gallon or larger tank is necessary for multiple males. Be sure to feed them a varied diet of brine shrimp, bloodworms, glassworms and small invertebrates, as well as AlgaGen Tisbe biminiensis. The Blennies feed slowly and deliberately, so they should not have to compete for their food.
