Heteractis malu, also known as the Sebae or Leather Anemone, was previously known as Radianthus keukenthali. It has a light tan to brown color and purple tips on its tentacles. This species is challenging to acclimate to aquarium life and should only be attempted by experienced aquarists. To thrive in the aquarium, it requires strong lighting, porous live rock, and a variety of sandy and rocky locations to choose from. The addition of a Blue Striped Clown, such as Amphiprion chrysopterus, can aid in its acclimatization and survival. When healthy, it is known to become very adhesive and difficult to remove from objects or individuals without causing damage.
